Management Group meeting at the partner institution University of Lille, 4-5 June 2019

On 4-5 June 2019 Management Group meeting of Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education programme project Innovative ICT Education for Social-Economic Development (IESED) No 574283-EPP-1-2016-1-LT-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP was held in the partner institution IUT A, University of Lille, Lille, France. Discussions on the aspects of the project implementation by partner institutions covered the following issues:

Implementation of the work plan for the project year 3: Preparation of teaching materials; Testing process, feedback from students and teachers, results; Presentation of the modules prepared for expert evaluation. Acquisition of promotional material and technical equipment.

Implementation of the WP Dissemination and Exploitation: the process during the whole period of the project, presentation the websites, dissemination events, etc.

Aspects of the project implementation by partner institutions: reporting, information for the project brochure, preparation for the final conference to be held in Minsk, Belarus.

Issues of the project documentation, budget, further project implementation.

During the meeting the Project Management Group also worked on the questionnaire for the teachers after testing new course, gave suggestions for improvement of promotional materials, discussed on the content of the project brochure to be published in September 2019. The Work Plan for the project year 3 was also discussed and some changes were made and approved. Besides, the Project Management Group discussed the final implementation issues of the teaching materials and confirmed the final date for adaptation of teaching materials for e-Learning. The date of the final conference to be held in Minsk in October 2019 was confirmed and the content of the conference programme was discussed as well.

* Achievements in project implementation, challenges and further plans of the project: Qualitative analysis of the upgraded study programmes introduced to the partner university community, social partners, local regional and national authorities. Feedback from employers. Visibility and dissemination

* Implementation of the WP Preparation, WP Development, WP Quality Plan and WP Dissemination and Exploitation

* Project Documentation and Budget

Study visit at the University of Economy in Bydgoszcz was also include a tour of the university campus.

Management group meeting in the United Kingdom, 2 – 3 October 2018

Management group meeting was held at the project partner institution De Montfort university in the United Kingdom on 2 – 3 October 2018. The following issues were discussed during the meeting:

  • Insights from the internship” IT in the Context of Intercultural Competency”.
  • Aspects of the Project Implementation Report (Progress report on implementation of the action. Achieved planned results).
  • Insights into the achieved results, challenges and future plans of the project.
  • Issues of the Project Activities. Reports of the Project Partners.
  • Discussion on the Issues of the Project Dissemination and Exploitation Plan and Sustainability Strategy.
  • Project Documentation. Issues of the Project Budget.

Management group meeting members also had a study visit to School of Computer Science and Informatics and Cyber Technology Institute at DMU.

The 5th partner meeting

11-12 May, 2018, Alytus

In the meeting participated IESED project prtners from ALYTAUS KOLEGIJA University of Applied Sciences, De Montfort University, Lille University of Science and Technology, University of Economy in Bydgoszcz.  During the meeting the following topics were raised:

1) The dissemination of the IESED Erasmus Plus project will  eventually consist of 4 papers, i.e.

  • 1 conference paper ready for publication that was proofread by the participants
  • 1 article for dissemination in a Belarusian journal
  • 1 article after the DMU internship
  • 1 final article upon completion of the 3 internships in Poland, France and the UK, focusing on intercultural differences and the stumbling blocks for communication.

2) The following dates were agreed for management meetings: Poland: February 2019, France: September 2019, Final meeting in Minsk: September 2019.

3) Discussions were raised as to whether the DMU intership should take place in September or October 2018. 

4) Project administrative issues.  The project manager presented administrative issues of Erasmus+ Capacity Building projects in the field of higher education, namely, project administrative aspects, contractual and financial management of the grant.

During the management group meeting were discussed various topics and presented project results.

The main topics of the meeting:

  • presentation and confirmation of Progress report; 
  • Insights into Quarterly report of partners; 
  • Presentation of the implementation results of the English language courses; 
  • Discussion on further development of the project activities, detailed short-term plan; 
  • Discussion on the issues of the project budget and documentation matters. 

The 2th management group meeting

The second management group meeting was combined with the practical seminar „Modelling of IT Specialist Profile“ in partner institution Lille University of Science and Technology, IUT “A” in France.  

During the Management group meeting  were presented and confirmed the Quality Plan, Dissemination and Exploitation Plan.

The main topics of the meeting:

  • issues of the project activities,
  • reports of the project partners, 
  • achieved project results,
  • the results of the previous meetings,
  • project administrative aspects,
  • contractual and financial management of the grant.

The 1th management group meeting – Kick-off meeting

4-6 April, 2017

The kick-off meeting attributed the main initial procedures for the successful project management: introduction of the project consortium and all the partners institutions, as well as the main project‘s goal, objectives and tasks, roles and responsibilities. During the meeting were presented administrative issues of Erasmus+ Capacity Building projects in the field of higher education, project administrative aspects, contractual and financial management of the grant.

A meeting of the consortium on Erasmus +, the IESED project was held in the BSUIR

On April 6 2017, the results of the first Erasmus + installation meeting, the IESED project (Innovative Education in Information and Communication Technologies for Socio-Economic Development) were held at the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics.

BSUIR was visited by representatives of educational institutions that are members of the consortium of the project:
• Alytus Collegium / University of Applied Sciences (Lithuania)
• University de Monfort (Great Britain)
• University of Science and Technology Lille-1 (France)
• University of Economics in Bydgoszcz (Poland)
• Vitebsk State Technological University (VSTU)
• BSU Institute of Business and Technology Management
• Private Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (CHIUP)
• Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank

The participants of the meeting visited the exhibition of achievements of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics and the Minsk Radio Technical College, as well as some of the laboratories. Namely, the international educational and research center “Android Software Center”, organized jointly with FORTE Knowledge of the Illinois Technological Association (ITA) with the involvement of IT specialists from the USA; Educational and research center “INTES”, created by the innovative company “INTES” with the support of foreign companies Schneider Electric (France) and CISCO (USA); A joint educational and research laboratory “Embedded mobile systems” with the innovative company AXONIM Devices – a partner of Analog Devices, Texas Instruments and ST Microelectronics.

To the guests of the university there were presented laboratories of the department of electronics, where they prepare specialists for the NPP. And at the department of electronic computers, representatives of the consortium got the opportunity to try the application for karaoke, created due to the methods of modeling speech signals. Recall that this development this year allowed the assistant professor of the department of the EMU BSUIR Ilya Sergeevich Azarov to defend his doctoral dissertation.
